Twenty Eight Days

Twenty eight days.

At long last, I have already filed my application for our upcoming licensure examination on Medical Technology at the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) yesterday. Surprisingly, it was pretty much convenient considering that it is a Philippine government agency. :p

I filed mine yesterday along with some of my block mates at around four in the afternoon because we still had classes that morning on our review center. And because I was satisfied with their service, I am going to share to you the great adventure. :)

Step 1:
Just go to the PRC website and apply online.

Basically this is what PRC web page looks like, just click that Online Application System inside that red circle. :)

Then just fill up all the necessary information. I think this online application is their new system for applying. They still have the option though to let you download the application form and to print it out, which we initially did but found out later on that afternoon when we were about to go to PRC that it should be applied online. So we had to stop by an internet shop first to get it done. For your convenience, do not download, just apply online. :)

Oh and by the way these are the things that you will be needing for the application for the Medical Technology licensure examination:

1. NSO Birth Certificate (original and photocopy)
2. Transcript of records with your scanned picture and a remark indicating for boards purposes only. (original and photocopy)
3. Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
4. Four (4) pcs. passport size colored pictures on a white background with complete name tag
5. Nine hundred pesos
6. For your convenience, bring a glue or a paste for gluing your picture. :)

Step 2:
Basically after applying online, we were already registered at the PRC. So to finish our application we headed straight to the PRC located at P. Paredes St. cor. Morayta St.Sampaloc, Manila and went to window 5 inside their office for the processing, gave them all the documents they needed then just filled up everything they asked us to fill, glued our pictures on some forms and so on and so forth. Since we went there on an afternoon, only few applicants were left so the line was pretty short. :)

For your convenience once again, you will be needing one documentary stamp that can be bought inside the PRC, buy the stamp first when you arrive at the PRC before anything else, it costs twenty pesos. :)

Step 3 and 4:
We headed to the cashier and paid nine hundred pesos for the baccalaureate fee, sounds fancy but basically that was just the licensure examination fee. And for the final step, we went to window 12 for the releasing of our application number that will be needed on the day of our examination. It is basically a piece of paper that also serves as our passport on the day of our examination.

So that was it! it took us even less than an hour to finish the process not like any other government agency that may take a whole day or so just to complete whatever kind of processing. Just in case you are unsure of where to go first or what to do first and where to go next or what to do next, you can always ask the security guards roaming around the area. :)

The pressure is on! The difference between now and after 28 days will determine the next chapter of my life. Scares me sometimes but still keeping a strong faith not only to myself but also to God. ^^,
