Movie Critiques >:)

Last August 17, Sunday I watched 2 movies both aired in HBO, Evan Almighty and Final Destination 3. Two really exciting cool movies worth watching. Even though haven't finished my plentiful assignments yet for the looong vacation, still watched it, I can't help it, hehe. Anyway, I'm gonna write some comments about the 2 films I watched, and you may also put comments on my cbox after reading it. ^^

EvanALMIGHTY

From the director of Bruce Almighty comes this film, a comedy of biblical proportions starring Steve Carell as Evan Baxter (isn't he the newscaster in Bruce Almighty?) and Morgan Freeman as God. Well as you all know, this is a story where God (Freeman) asked Evan (Carell) to build an ark in this 21st century to save him, his family and two animals of every kind from a great flood as it is written in Genesis 6:14 that "Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch." Evan obeyed God and built it.

Comment:

This movie for me is a great example of following the will of God and having 101% faith and trust in Him all the time without hesitating no matter what the situation is. We should ask ourselves this question: If I am Evan Baxter and God suddenly appeared in front of me and asked me to build an ark in the middle of summer season and in front of the public at this 21st century to save us from a great flood, will I really do it for God completely without a bit of doubting and a bit of hesitating?

Even if I will be looked like this??

FINAL DESTINATION 3

This movie was the third installment of the Final Destination series starred Mary Winstead as Wendy Christensen and Ryan Merriman as Kevin Fischer. As you all know again, this is a movie where a high school girl named Wendy as she tried to warn her friends to get off the roller coaster ride because of a premonition she had about an accident in the ride that involves her and her friends. Fortunately, some got off as the ride started to crashed devastatingly afterwards.

Comment:

Remember Frankie Cheeks played by Sam Easton? The one with a necklace of a sitted-position naked girl and the one who holds a cam recorder? Remember also the scene in Wendy's premonition where Cheeks slipped off his cam recorder and the strap of his recorder looped the rail of the roller coaster that caused the ride to crash? But Frankie Cheeks is one of the person who got off the ride. The roller coaster has no reason to crash since Cheeks got off the ride. Diba diba????? Ha ha!!

But anyway, I have nothing against the movie, I love the movie actually and besides, we are just humans, we are imperfect and we also made mistakes! ^^

Have a nice day, GOD BLESS!!! ^^

Excuse me, please!

I was in my English class yesterday and our lesson was basic sentence patterns. The S-IV, S-TV-DO, S-TV-IO-DO, etc. We were given a xerox copy of an article in the newspaper that is written by Letty Jacinto-Lopez to be used in an activity after the lecture. The title of the article is "Excuse me, please!" and this was what it is all about:

NOTE: The following posts were all originally copied from the article written by Ms. Letty Jacinto-Lopez. All first persons are referred to Ms. Lopez.

These are excuse notes from parents (including original spelling) collected by schools from all over the US. These were E-mailed to me by my sister-in-law. Wag tularan!
