Matani Shakya: "Kumari"

Matani Shakya, a 3-year old girl was newly appointed "kumari " or living goddess in Nepal.

She passed the goddess test conducted by a panel of judges and got the throne. According to Nepal's law, "Having passed all the tests, the child will stay in almost complete isolation at the temple, and will be allowed to return to her family only at the onset of menstruation when a new goddess will be named to replace her." (Yahoo! News)

Here's what her father Pratap Man Shakya got to say: "I feel a bit sad, but since my child has become a living goddess I feel proud." (Yahoo! News)

I also feel a bit sad like his father about this little girl. Ang bata pa kaya niya sobra, she will not be able enjoy a child's life anymore due to being a goddess.

Well, whatever it is, we should still respect their law as they also respect ours and every nation. =)

updates..UpdateS..UPDATES...

Yehey! Another post, wahahaha!! Buti it managed to survive haha! >:)

Anyway, since napapansin ko na karamihan sa mga blogs ng mga kilala kong bloggers nag-u-update ng college life nila, so siguro ako rin dapat haha! Tsaka more on tagalog ako ngayon para mas exciting magbasa (siguro..) haha! >:)

Ayan, so eto na.

Sabay taray samin. Guess what, bading ang nagsabi nun, yes, di kayo namamalit mata, bading nga as in B-A-D-I-N-G--bading.

BTW, congratz ADMU! Tiu ba to? Tiu nga ito!" After nun, lalapitan ako at sabay tanong: "Kaano-ano mo si Chris Tiu?!" Sinasagot ko sila ng "pinsan ko.........JOKE!" Haha!

As usual, may English, Math, Filipino, Natural Science - Biologoy, at P.E. kami, tapos yung mga bago: Psychology and Philosophy.

More on verb tenses kami tsaka mga subject verb agreement.

Super handle with super care talaga dapat ito.

1 and 1/2 hours kami per subject. Haha!

P.E.: Hay, nung una ok eh, kasi movement education lang, as in parang exercise lang. After nun aerobics kami.

Type ng mga quiz niya puro identification and enumeration or essay.

Philosophy: Prof Saquing--the best...

May pagka-bibo kasi karamihan eh, masaya hehe.

Sige, thanks for reading, see you at my next post hehe! ^^

Twilight: To Read or not to Read?

Ok, so here it is, the Twilight of Stephenie Meyer that almost everybody has been obsessing with lately, will finally released its movie on November 21, 2008 in America and along December in the Philippines. (YEY!!)??

I found a video while searching for trailers on youtube, by the way, I have been reading the book and I'm just at chapter 9, Anyway, so here's the thing, this video I found might kill your obsession with Twilight and maybe Edward Cullen(for girls). If you don't want to kill the obsession and you think you can't fight it, then don't watch it. If you can, then ok, watch it.

WARNING: Again, this video may kill your obsession with Twilight and Edward Cullen(for girls..again). If you can't fight it, DON'T WATCH IT.

For obsessed with Twilight and Edward Cullen(for girls...) and had successfully fought it: Want to kill the girl? Go ahead. >:)

Movie Critiques >:)

Last August 17, Sunday I watched 2 movies both aired in HBO, Evan Almighty and Final Destination 3. Two really exciting cool movies worth watching. Even though haven't finished my plentiful assignments yet for the looong vacation, still watched it, I can't help it, hehe. Anyway, I'm gonna write some comments about the 2 films I watched, and you may also put comments on my cbox after reading it. ^^

EvanALMIGHTY

From the director of Bruce Almighty comes this film, a comedy of biblical proportions starring Steve Carell as Evan Baxter (isn't he the newscaster in Bruce Almighty?) and Morgan Freeman as God. Well as you all know, this is a story where God (Freeman) asked Evan (Carell) to build an ark in this 21st century to save him, his family and two animals of every kind from a great flood as it is written in Genesis 6:14 that "Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch." Evan obeyed God and built it.

Comment:

This movie for me is a great example of following the will of God and having 101% faith and trust in Him all the time without hesitating no matter what the situation is. We should ask ourselves this question: If I am Evan Baxter and God suddenly appeared in front of me and asked me to build an ark in the middle of summer season and in front of the public at this 21st century to save us from a great flood, will I really do it for God completely without a bit of doubting and a bit of hesitating?

Even if I will be looked like this??

FINAL DESTINATION 3

This movie was the third installment of the Final Destination series starred Mary Winstead as Wendy Christensen and Ryan Merriman as Kevin Fischer. As you all know again, this is a movie where a high school girl named Wendy as she tried to warn her friends to get off the roller coaster ride because of a premonition she had about an accident in the ride that involves her and her friends. Fortunately, some got off as the ride started to crashed devastatingly afterwards.

Comment:

Remember Frankie Cheeks played by Sam Easton? The one with a necklace of a sitted-position naked girl and the one who holds a cam recorder? Remember also the scene in Wendy's premonition where Cheeks slipped off his cam recorder and the strap of his recorder looped the rail of the roller coaster that caused the ride to crash? But Frankie Cheeks is one of the person who got off the ride. The roller coaster has no reason to crash since Cheeks got off the ride. Diba diba????? Ha ha!!

But anyway, I have nothing against the movie, I love the movie actually and besides, we are just humans, we are imperfect and we also made mistakes! ^^

Have a nice day, GOD BLESS!!! ^^

Excuse me, please!

I was in my English class yesterday and our lesson was basic sentence patterns. The S-IV, S-TV-DO, S-TV-IO-DO, etc. We were given a xerox copy of an article in the newspaper that is written by Letty Jacinto-Lopez to be used in an activity after the lecture. The title of the article is "Excuse me, please!" and this was what it is all about:

NOTE: The following posts were all originally copied from the article written by Ms. Letty Jacinto-Lopez. All first persons are referred to Ms. Lopez.

These are excuse notes from parents (including original spelling) collected by schools from all over the US. These were E-mailed to me by my sister-in-law. Wag tularan!

(Hahaha, telenovela... bow. Makuwento siya ha.)

~Please excuse Jennifer for missing school yesterday. We forgot to get the Sunday paper off the porch, and when we found it on Monday, we thought it was Sunday.
(Winner ito! Ang galing! Puwede rin kaya sa office ito? What do you think?)

=))...

I'm Yours too! :p

Check out the first single released by Jason Mraz--"I'm Yours"--from his third studio album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. It's really nice, it will make you feel relaxed. The first time I heard this song really urged me to download it. It's the sound of the guitar that is really pleasing to hear. Everyone may relate to this song whether you're young, old, girl, boy, single, married, in a relationship, devorced, about to be devorced, still healthy, dying, about to die, dead?, etc.^^ Below are the lyrics and the music video of the song.

By the way, the music is on my imeem--track 10 *right side*. On my imeem is the radio edited one which lasts only about 3:35 minutes and it sounds much better than the album version that lasts about 4:03 minutes which is on the youtube below. The radio edited one sounds much better for me because it is more like an A Capella version but not exactly A Capella. Well, it's your choice though which sounds much better.

ENJOY!!!^^

LYRICS:
(courtesy of http://www.sing365.com/) *edited some parts*
Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks and now
I'm trying to get back

Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
Nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing
We're just one big family
And It's our God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love loved

So I won't hesitate no more, no more It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Scooch closer dear
and i will nibble your ear

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
My breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what i be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm yours

Well well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find the sky is yours

So please don't, please don't, please don't
There's no need to complicate
'Cause our time is short
This would, this would, this is our fate
I'm yours

*YEAH* :p

Shoutout

Wow, it's been really long since my last post, haha! ='( Well, hopefully there will be already, since i have new post. ^^

Ok, well here it goes.

I have been getting only 2.00 lately in some of my quizzes in my college. It really frustrates me, since others who got much higher grade than me, DOESN'T DESERVE IT AT ALL. But anyway, this post should be actually posted last July 5, Saturday afternoon. This was when I almost burst my emotions to everything that I see and decided to burst it on Blogger, but unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to use PC. Luckily I'm still fine.

*to be continued...*
*I'm back*

So, what was I saying? Oh yes, the 2.00 grade. As I've said before, others who got much higher grade than me, doesn't deserve it at all and this is why:

By the way, I don't cheat in class anymore. Honestly, I don't. I stopped cheating when I was I think in grade 4 or 5. And I hate cheaters UBER.

Effects of Cheating:

  1. You get a high grade. (Conscience sits beside you.)
  2. You can be one of top 3 of your class (Conscience say hi to you.)
  3. In college, you can be a dean lister! How nice! (Conscience starts to talk to you.)
  4. Become a summa cum laude graduate! Isn't that awesome?! (Conscience is now your best friend!)
  5. Last but not the least, you will let others feel unfair.

To sum it all up, you will be with Conscience--who is now your new best friend--forever, no one will trust you and you will learn nothing at all for the rest of your life.

Going back to the issue, what really frustrates me is that, I studied for the quiz the next day, prepared well for it and yet, got a grade that is not satisfying. The first thing that made me felt unfair is that we all didn't have a hard time taking up the quiz. The only difference is that others prepared for the quiz including me, but some didn't. What they only did is the tanong-sabay-tingin-sa-papel-ng-katabi method.

"Ui, ano answer dito? eto? eh eto? ah.. eto?" Didn't understand the handwriting of his katabi? That's easy, "Ano yan? Di ko ma-gets." O_O

Our chairs are really close to each other, that's why it's really not that hard to cheat. What is our professor doing at this time of miracles? Nothing.

Wondering if someone asked me? Of course! I told them I also didn't know the answer. I don't care how they will react or think of me if they did the tanong-sabay-tingin-sa-papel-ng-katabi method to me and saw that I had wrote something on my paper.

The second thing that made me felt unfair is that the "some" who only did the tanong-sabay-tingin-sa-papel-ng-katabi method did better grades than others who prepared for the quiz including me. *sigh* Now, I do believe in the saying "Life is unfair". Yes, truly it is.

What is the reason of me getting a 2.00? Well, I feel fine with it, because it has been saved by other quizzes that I got with a perfect grade.^^ Anyway, I don't know honestly, I think I have a listening problem. Sometimes, I tend to immediately forget what the instruction or the question is. Maybe this is caused by my feeling of nervous whenever we're taking a quiz.

*sigh* I got to work on it.

Lastly, I don't blame God for these things that are happening. In fact, I thank and trust Him more. I know, someday the ones who are just cheating their grades will have their consequences in time.

Any comments, judgments, violent reactions? All are accepted, just put it in my cbox♪

I scored 40

Aww.. it's almost 2 months and I haven't have a new post. Well, I'm here now, got something new....NAHHH.. This somehow is kinda old, I just want to post it. It's a personality test, and it's Dr. Phil's. I took the test and I scored 40 and this is what getting a 40 got for me according to Dr. Phil:

Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful and practical. They see you as clever, gifted or talented but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

So, anyone wants to protest? :p

Here's the link if you want to take the test:

It's worth taking one, promise :)

A Very Blessed Day from GOD

^__________^ What a day this has been!!!

The "PROJECT"

I woke up this morning 8:00 A.M. and prepare some things to bring for our Physics interactive project. I brought a piece of wood about 8 x 9 cm for the stand of our project. It was a bit heavy because it was 1 cm thick.

I arrived at school at exactly 9:10 A.M. But before I arrived, Janell texted me that she was already at the parish. (our meeting place) Surprisingly, when I arrived, no one was there. I went to the lobby of our school the so-called "Bolderston Hall" and there I found her. We went back to parish, continue our project and also waited for our two members namely Jasper and Michael to come.

Michael arrived at around 9:30 A.M. and the compressor at last has already arrived. We (me and Janell) went to Book One to buy a kind of ball that is light. We bought a styro-ball (The most memorandum of all ball) made from styro foam that cost us 30.75Php. It was expensive but we still bought it.

When we headed back to parish, Jasper has already arrived. So we had the official start of the project-making. Janell painted the cone yellow and the wood black. I put the styro-ball inside the cone (the mother of all the materials used) with the compressor attached above the cone, the wider mouth. The object of our project is to have the ball float out of the cone using a compressor.

First Try:

  • Michael on the compressor
  • Me on the cone
  • Jasper also on the compressor
  • Janell on the prayer

Result: Disaster
Reason: The ball didn't float.

*Sighs* A big sigh, buh-bye 30.75Php. Sydney arrived and she suggested that we should use a small-sized balloon because it's really light and maybe it will really float. We (Jasper and me) went to "pugo" store (that's the store name Jasper called, or maybe I just misheard it) to buy one. It only cost us 5:00Php. Jasper was hungry and he bought a rice topping and RC Cola. We went back and it was already about 10:00A.M. and we have our chorale practice at 10:30A.M. Time for our second try.

Second Try:

  • Jasper on the compressor
  • Michael watched
  • Janell on the cone
  • me - *hoping that it will succeed*

Result: "nakakadismaya"
Reason: It still didn't work.

It's already 10:30, me and Jasper had to go to chorale practice. And so we went.

CHORALE PRACTICE

We practiced a new song entitled...oops, I forgot the title. O_O I can't concentrate in practicing knowing that we haven't yet accomplished anything in 1 hour of making. I didn't learn much a while ago. Atsi Pat then suddenly told us that we should learn Lupang Hinirang for some reason that I didn't heard because I didn't have the mood to listen that time. The alto part was way to different to the sopranos. The notes were almost all straight.

It was almost 12:00P.M. when Atsi Pat dismissed us. Then we (Jasper, Sydney, me) played monkey in the middle using the styro-ball we bought a while ago. It was fun. I won't go into details anymore how it was played. Just find out yourself!

LUNCH BREAK

I went home to eat my lunch and went back to school to continue our project. I went to Mcdo to search for Erica whose being searched by Nicolle. We stayed there and found Janell eating there. Jackie *ehem* I mean Siege bought us some Hot Fudge in Mcdo (Is it really called hot fudge? Because it was not hot but rather cold). Jackie, I mean Siege brought playing cards and we played pusoy-dos at Mcdo. I lost at second round.O_O

BACK TO WORK

I went back to parish to continue our project and found out that Janell was already there waiting for us. (uh-ohhh...) Michael and Jasper weren't still there. Me and Janell decided to buy another balloon again but this time, a lighter one that was suggested by Sydney. We went to Tenoski (Dunno the correct spelling) to buy. This time we bought 5 balloons just to make sure we won't run out of it.

Third Try:

It worked a little, because the balloons floated a bit.

I then suggested that what if we use a blower instead of a compressor? Then they all said okay so I went home and get one.

Fourth Try:

With the blower as an alternative for the compressor, miraculously, IT WORKED!!! The balloons floated really high! Whew! What an HUGE accomplishment!

Our burden reduced to only 25%. The 25% remaining is for:

  • The attachment of the cone to the stand.
  • A cover to not to let the balloons get out of the cone when it floats.
  • The additional balloons.
  • The heat of the blower that may cause the balloons to explode since it's covered.

But at least, we've accomplished the objective of our project.^^

FUN TIME!!!

After accomplishing our project, me, Angellyn, Jasper and Jackie, I mean Siege played heart attack at parish. It was really a heart attacking one. LOL

Suddenly, Pastor Tanhuanco passed by and saw us playing. He told us that we can't bring playing cards at school and we shouldn't be playing it.

For my part, money was not even involved and we are just plainly playing heart attack. Playing cards are not bad if no money is involve.

Anyway, we went to TeaBlends and nilibre uli kami ni Jackie, ay! Siege pala, LOL! Then we went back to parish and we found Sydney and Jerome there. We went to the back of parish and found Kevin and Angelica doing their project. Their project was cool. It has some involvement of magnets.^^

Sydney told Jerome to get the styro-ball on their (Jasper, Jerome) locker and we played the monkey in the middle again. This time, with Angellyn, Jerome and Jackie. I'm really being cheat by these creatures especially Jasper whose the master mind of all the cheats treated to me! LOL

Two boys came running by namely Jonathan and I think it's Jade. They were so chulit but really nice.^^ They played with us with the styro-ball and as usual, they were also cheating me because of Jasper. LOL

I've really burned a lot of calories today.^^

FINALE

Funs, Realities, Thanksgivings

A BLESSED 2007

Okay, now getting into the real life. There's just one thing that somehow came to my mind that the poem My Heart Leaps Up by William Wordsworth really expresses a bit of me even if it's not so obvious that I do love and care about the wonderful world of NATURE, but really, I do, sometimes when I just feel so depressed that it feels like the world is against me, I imagine things that is kind of nature-like views and it does really comforts me. Stubborn as many will think, but this is me, and I'm proud of it!

The year 2007 I can say so far, is the best year I've had for the past 17 years of my living. Here are some of the reasons:

  1. First of all, it's because I had a stronger relationship with God. I really did.
  2. After number 1, everything followed really really smoothly.
  3. Had more friends than before. (YOU ROCK GUYS!!^^)
  4. Made it to 3rd honor. (REALLY SHOCKED TO THE MAXIMUM LEVEL EVER)
  5. Bought a new phone. At last a Nokia camera phone.

Those simple but wonderful 5 reasons would be really a memorable one to me in the future.

THANK YOU

Got nothing left to say anymore, might as well end this blog with plenty of thanks to everyone especially GOD, who, if not been there all the time for me, would experience a miserable life. I thank the LORD ALMIGHTY for the uncountable blessings that He had showered upon me for the past 2007. And of course, the sub thanks to it is to my family for always giving support to my decisions in life, for all of my classmates who helped me do my school stuffs, friends for always being there to comfort me, teachers of course for teaching us valuable things in life, counselors for bringing us closer to GOD, and the people whom I don't know but did help me. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!

MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!^^

Alvin and the Chipmunks

I'm really really reeeeeeeally desperate about watching Alvin and the Chipmunks the Movie! These are some of the lines I really love in that film:
  • Alvin: "Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me, don't cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me....aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!"
  • Simon: "A housekeeper! grrrrrrrr"
  • Alvin: "bow chika bow wow chika bow wow"
  • Alvin: "Helloooo gorgeous!"
  • Theodore: "I still have a baby back you know!"

Haha! I really love those lines, it made my stomach ache, I really have to watch it. You too have to watch it, you'll gonna regret if you don't.

Long Time No Post

Uh oh, it's been a long time since my last post. Christmas Season really made me busy. I didn't even get the chance to update my blog. T_T But anyway, It's okay now, I'm here.

My 紅包"s" this year was fewer than last year's. :(

Many many things

I've just realized that this Christmas break still has so many school stuffs to finish, crap.

  1. C.E. journal
  2. 宗孝 project (reaction paper about Revelation)
  3. Whattashot

Three are already many, remember? At kindergarten, teachers always tell us that more than one is considered as many. See, *sighs*

About #1, I have done 2-week journal in one day and a 5-day journal also in one day.
About #2, I'm already at chapter 6, and it's still a long way to go.
About #3, I still don't have an entry.

There are also many "not so important things" that I also wasn't able to do it:

  1. Watch DVD's. (my aunt just gave me 3 more DVD's to watch)
  2. Watch Smallville Season 6. (yeah, I know, I'm late)
  3. Watch Heroes Season 2.
  4. Explore my new mp3 player.

3-week Christmas break is not enough for me. O_O
